Travel Plan

As part of your development, a Travel Plan has been prepared which sets out the objectives and benefits of the Travel Plan.

This document also sets out the targets and measures which will be in place across the monitoring period. The objectives of the Travel Plan include:

• Supporting a range of sustainable transport alternatives to provide the residents with options for sustainable travel to and from the site.
• Developing an awareness of the options for sustainable travel to and from the site and local area amongst residents.
• Promoting car sharing, walking, cycling and public transport as safe, efficient, affordable alternatives to private cars and highlight the health and environmental benefits of using sustainable travel modes.
• Minimising the impact of car-based travel to the site on the local and strategic highway network and environment.

Targets will be set following an initial baseline survey and will be agreed with Hampshire County Council. The success of the Travel Plan will be measured on whether the targets have been achieved and will be reviewed throughout the 5 year monitoring period.
